CHIA SEEDS SUPERFOOD

Thanks to my wonderful co-worker Lavetra who turned me on to these amazing lil seeds. I now give them to marley since he is allergic to dairy and they have six times the calcium of milk!!!!. Incorporate them into your lives you will not regret it!

Chia is the Ultimate Superfood

In the pecking order of super-foods, you’ve got to earn respect. Salmon has done that. So have spinach and blueberries. But there’s another food making the rounds for its numerous health benefits that, quite frankly, may soon be at the top of that list.

The food is chia. And in the pantheon of super-foods, it’s a stud.

What’s a super-food? Think of foods that are loaded with phytonutrients, including antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, essential vitamins and minerals. Also, any super-food worth its weight should be a good source of protein, healthy fats or fiber.

About Digestive Science Organic Chia Seed

Digestive Science Organic Chia Seed is an unrivalled source of all three. In fact, it’s packed with enough nutrients to have extensive and far-reaching health benefits for those from all walks of life and degrees of health. Benefits include:

more energy
better digestion
reduced food cravings
increased lean muscle mass
better sleep
healthier skin
Think of Digestive Science Organic Chia Seed as a high-octane fuel for your body – the kind that will transform it from a Pinto to a Ferrari.

Granted, the term “super-food” is reaching pretty high, and any food that claims to wear that title needs some serious nutrients to back it up. Let’s break Digestive Science Organic Chia Seed down further and evaluate if it’s good enough for that lofty title.

Nutritional Breakdown

Chia is 16% protein, 31% fat and 44% carbohydrate. The latter is 38% fiber (both soluble and insoluble), and most of the fat content is the heart-healthy essential omega-3 fatty acid ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). And as a complete vegetable protein with nine essential amino acids, you’ve got enough protein for a health-boosting, low cholesterol snack or meal.

Getting back to that fiber, two tablespoons of chia packs over 42.5% of your daily recommended fiber intake and three to four times what you’ll find in a competing dietary supplement. Considering that most Americans get less that half of their recommended fiber each day, chia’s a fast and convenient way to boost your fiber intake and minimize digestive problems.

In ancient times, the Aztecs used chia to nourish their messengers as they ran through the mountains. With over 27 minerals, vitamins, amino acids and omega-3 fatty acids, it’s not hard to see why.

Who Should Eat Chia?

Let’s be honest, it’s a lot easier to grab a Big Mac for lunch than it is to eat well. And no offense to the fast food industry, but it’s not good for your health or your waistline.

Chia’s been used for hundreds of years by South American cultures for its health-boosting and endurance-building nutrients. And with enough protein, healthy fats and fiber content, it’s a true super-food and convenient way to supplement the nutrients so often missed in the average diet.

Chia is ideal for athletes, diabetics, pregnant women, children, vegetarians, people who want to lose weight, fight signs of aging or simply want to eat like professional athletes and achieve maximum health with the convenience of a seed that’s easily integrated in your diet.

Everyone can eat chia. And frankly, everyone should.

Eat Like a Champ, Feel Like a Warrior

The Aztecs knew the benefits of chia and gave it to their leaders as an annual offering. Now you can enjoy the same benefits, including more energy, greater endurance, better digestion and sharpened mental outlook. Digestive Science Organic Chia Seed is health and virility in the form of a seed.

I LOVE COLLOIDAL SILVER!

I swear by colloidal silver. I use it for bites and cuts, internally for immune protection, I give it to my son and cat as well as my plants. It truly is a cure-all.

Colloidal silver was the most common antibiotic in use until 1938. It is a natural antibiotic, anti viral, and antifungal and can be used externally or internally with little chance of side effects or overdose. It is inexpensive, easily bought without a prescription and best of all, bacteria that has become immune to antibiotics has no immunity to colloidal silver.

So, why isn't it being used more?

When medical technology started gearing up in the late 1800s researchers found that all of the body's fluids were colloidal in nature. This means that blood, for example, is made up of particles suspended in a fluid.

Silver had long been used for its antibacterial qualities and so doctors began to look for ways to create a colloid that would easily be absorbed into the body. That was realized with the advent of electricity. In 1924, the first electro-colloidal silver was produced and over the next several years the technique was perfected.

Use in Ancient Persia
This was not the first time silver had been used for its antibacterial properties. In 4000 B.C. Persian records indicate that water was kept in silver vessels to produce antibacterial and disinfectant qualities in it. The Romans used silver compounds on the battle field to treat wounds as did the Crusaders in the Middle Ages.

The pioneers in America, and even people up into the early 1900s used silver coins and flatware in jugs of milk to keep it fresh and good at room temperature.

Where Did the Term Blue Blood Come From?
Did you ever wonder where the term, blue blood, comes from?

Royalty and the upper classes used to use silver as medicine as well as eat from silver plates using silver flatware. They drank water which had been stored in silver pitchers from silver cups. Because of all of the silver particles they ingested their skin literally turned blue. This condition, Argyria, is caused by excessive intake of silver particles over a long period of time. Other than blue skin the condition is not dangerous.

Proven Effective
The effectiveness of colloidal silver had been proven by case studies and accepted by science as fact in past eras. However, it was costly to produce and not as fast acting as some of the new antibiotics that were being discovered. Doctors began prescribing the new wonder drugs and silver was largely forgotten.

Improper Use Over Time Can Lead to Blue Skin

Synthetic Antibiotics Create Resistant Diseases
Unfortunately what the doctors did not know was that over time, and with misuse, the synthetic antibiotics actually produced antibiotic resistant bacteria.

The Center for Disease Control in Atlanta reported in the year 2000 that over 70,000 people died in hospitals in the United States from infections that resisted synthetic drugs.

Bacteria that are very common such as those that lead to ear infections or pneumonia are evolving into forms that are currently untreatable. We are creating super bugs. MRSA is one of these new, resistant microbes.

Is Colloidal Silver the Answer?
In the late 1970s a doctor by the name of Robert O. Becker was doing research on regeneration of spinal chords, organs and limbs. He discovered that silver promoted bone growth as well as destroying harmful bacteria in the surrounding area. More tests were run and the results were that colloidal silver is a broad spectrum antimicrobial. It successfully destroyed the following:

E. coli
Pink eye

bronchial infections
urinary tract infections
wound infections
strep
Anthrax
staph
typhoid
many more
Since colloidal silver is considered a pre 1938 drug by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) it is approved for over the counter sales.

How to Use Colloidal Silver
Colloidal Silver comes in two basic strengths, 50 ppm and 500 ppm. It is important to have both on hand because they treat different things.

For eye infections, nose drops, or ears the 50 ppm is better to use and less likely to sting. For illnesses and infections that need to be treated internally the 500 ppm is the best choice.

The colloidal silver should be kept in a dark place, and always buy it bottled in a dark, glass bottle.

Generally, if you are treating an illness taking one ounce four times a day of the 500ppm is effective. It is nearly impossible to ovedose on it and the blue side effect only happens with very heavy use over a long period of time. Years, not weeks or months.

Other uses for colloidal silver are:

Silver stimulates plant growth
Rinse your fruit and vegetables before storin. This will make them last longer and stay fresh.
Toothaches and canker sores are diminished and itkills the bacteria of gingivitis.
Use on fingernail, toenail, and ear fungi.
Spray in shoes and between toes to kill athletes foot and fungi.
Add to drinking water when traveling or camping, or in emergency situations when clean drinking water is suspect.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF CHERRIES!!!!

Today I took my son to an organic cherry farm where we picked cherrys and played in the trees!! They are so good for you too!!! indulge till beginning of july. go pick some or buy ! Make sure you choose organic.Cherries are not only delicious, they're also good for you. Here are seven reasons to include them in your diet.

Anti-Inflammatory
Cherries have gained fame as one of nature's most powerful anti-inflammatories, which means they're beneficial for many different conditions. This is due to the anthocyanins in cherries that researchers have found prevent free radical damage and inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes better than many anti-inflammatory drugs.

Arthritis Benefits
According to the Arthritis Foundation, drinking tart cherry juice mixed with water three times a day may be beneficial for people with arthritis. This is due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

Heart Health
A study at the University of Michigan found that a diet that includes a lot of cherries lowers all the overall risk factors for heart disease, including inflammation, body fat, and cholesterol.

Cancer Protection
Researchers have found sweet cherries to be cancer fighters thanks to their high level of an antioxidant called cyanidin. Cyanidin is an important free radical scavenger and may also promote cellular differentiation, an important process in the body's fight against cancerous cells.

Memory Booster
Anthocyanin is also good for the brain and has been shown to improve memory.

High in Beta Carotene
Cherries are high in beta carotene, containing 19 times more than blueberries or strawberries.

Sleep Aid
Cherries contain melatonin, a hormone that regulates the body's sleep cycles.

THE POWER OF THE OCEAN

I have been swimming in the ocean for years. I used to go daily.Im slowing getting back to it. Was being spoiled by the warm waters of hawaii. Lately the ocean has been calling to me. And I have been indulging in her!

The physical and spiritual appeal of water has attracted the infirm and weary throughout history. There is even a special word for the use of seawater in health restoration and maintenance -- "thalassotherapy," which was first written about by Hippocrates. Thalassotherapy comes from the Greek "thalassa" meaning water and "therapia" meaning to heal. The Greeks soaked in sea water hot tubs and heated seaweed baths, drank and inhaled sea water for health, got sea water massages, had sea green facials and body wraps, and used sea water pools for hydrotherapy and elimination of toxins from the body. In modern upscale spas and resorts the sea is used to reduce tension and stress, detoxify the skin and improve circulation, speed weight loss and cellulite control, and even ease menopausal discomforts.

The ocean is therapeutic and a boundless reservoir of health. It contains all the vital elements: vitamins, mineral salts, trace elements, amino acids and living microorganisms which secrete antibiotic, bacteriostatic and hormonal substances with biological balancing effects. These substances are easily assimilated by our bodies during sea bathing. An interesting fact is that seawater has a similar composition as our blood plasma.

You don't have to get wet to have the ocean work its healing magic. The gas molecules in the ocean mist create a genuine spray rich in iodine, which helps regulate the thyroid gland. The spray is also loaded with negative ions. Negatives ions strengthen the body's immunological defense mechanisms. This mist of extremely small molecules enters the body through the respiratory system, where they attach to the walls of the lungs for distribution throughout the body.

Direct contact with ocean water is even more therapeutic. Bathing in seawater acts directly on chronic disorders, helping one overcome ailments, aches and pains. Cool seawater calms down overwrought nerves, tranquilizing the whole body. It also tones up the body, making it more resilient. Warm seawater, during our summer months, improves the circulation and relaxes muscles.

Seawater baths open the pores and help eliminate toxins from the body. Swimming and wading brings our bodies in contact with the sea's pulsating and massaging waves, its rare minerals, and dissolved gases.

Although few realize, our skin is our largest organ and absorbs chemicals just as readily as it excretes through sweat. The magnesium content of seawater is significant enough to have a nutritional and calming effect on our nerves, which explains why sea bathing is so relaxing. Potassium in seawater enters the skin and encourages good urinary flow. Seawater contains all the 89 known elements present in our bodies, including osmium, gold, vanadium, zinc, and iodine.

The skin is the exchange barrier through which these substances pass into the blood stream from the surrounding environment. During swimming, the negative ions move through the epidermis into the dermis, where they are taken up by the capillaries and distributed by the blood to various organs. Calcium ions are carried to the bones while the potassium ions are directed towards the muscles.

The therapeutic effects of the ocean go far beyond mere physical benefits. The sea makes us dream. It promotes a feeling of liberation and wanderlust. To sailors, there is no feeling so liberating as the ocean breeze filling the sails. Our evolutionary roots are in the sea and we are drawn to it in an almost mystical manner.

We stand hypnotically on the seashore or on cliffs and look at the ocean for extended periods of time. The sound of the ocean flowing and crashing against rocks fills us with wonder and promotes a profound sense of calmness. The sea has the power can relax us, relive our stress and pain, renew us and soothe our souls.

The sea provides a healing magic that goes beyond drugs and prescriptions. It forces us to become involved with it. The ocean draws on the strength of plants from the Earth, the water that is a part of all life and the mineral salts from which our bodies are created.

From a metaphysical perspective, water is associated with creativity and our feelings and is the seat of our unconscious patterns. It has to do with emotions that we have suppressed and buried. Being close to the ocean deepens our contemplation and helps us bring these patterns and feelings to the surface so we may recognize and deal with them.

MAYA massage

In a few weeks I will be attending a course in Washington DC for MAYA massage. I am so looking foward to adding this to my list of healing techniques.

Benefits of Traditional Maya Massage Treatment for Women and Men
Women with infertility and menopause concerns and men with prostate problems can benefit from Traditional Maya Massage non-invasive external abdominal massage.
Traditional Maya Massage is a noninvasive massage technique that benefits women and men as an additional support to traditional health care to enhance health and wellness. Traditional Maya Massage addresses problems for women and men such as prolapsed or displaced uterus, prostate and digestion problems. For Women
Normally the uterus leans slightly over the bladder in the center of the pelvis, about one and a half inches above the pubic bone. It is held in this position by muscles, the vaginal wall and ligaments that attach it to the back, front, and sides of the pelvis. Uterine ligaments are made to stretch to accommodate a growing fetus inside and to move freely when the bladder or bowel is full. The ligaments and muscles can weaken and loosen, causing the uterus to fall downward, forward, backward or to either side.

The uterus in any of these positions is called tilted or prolapsed. Modern medicine has little or nothing to offer women with this problem. Options may include using the birth control pill, muscle relaxants, or surgery and women are generally told, "your uterus is tipped, but that is normal and don't worry about it." Yet women have a laundry list of physical and emotional symptoms that can be addressed and prevented with these simple, noninvasive massage techniques to correct a prolapsed or displaced uterus. When reproductive organs shift, they can constrict normal flow of blood and lymph, and disrupt nerve connections. Just a few extra ounces sitting on blood and lymph vessels can cause havoc throughout the different systems in the body. By shifting the uterus back into place, homeostasis, or the natural balance of the body, is restored in the pelvic area and the surrounding organs. Toxins are flushed and nutrients that help to tone tissue and balance hormones are restored to normal order. This is essential for healthy pregnancy, labor, and delivery.

Old adhesions from invasive treatments to the pelvic and abdominal area, including fibroid tumors, endometriosis, and cesarean delivery are diminished when addressed by uterine massage. In addition, digestion, urinary and bladder problems can be helped.

For Men
Men benefit greatly from Maya Abdominal Massage techniques as well. By ensuring a full blood supply to the prostate, the abdominal massage helps to prevent swelling and inflammation. Men report that they can feel a distinct difference in blood flow after a treatment. Not only does the massage relieve prostate swelling, but it helps alleviate varicose veins, premature ejaculation, some impotency problems and the need to urinate frequently.

Digestive and Emotional Benefits for Men and Women
Individuals with digestive disorders benefit greatly from Maya Abdominal Massage. Many of our common disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Indigestion, Constipation, and heartburn are treated with antacids, muscle relaxants, and a variety of other medications. These treatments address symptoms, not the causes. By using the techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage, the upper abdomen is also given a deep, thorough massage to loosen the tight muscles around the stomach and the arteries that feed the digestive and eliminative organs with their vital blood supply. The diaphragm is gently massaged allowing relaxation of tight musculature.

PASS ON TO ALL WOMEN YOU KNOW!!!!

Tampons

THE FDA WOULD NOT ALLOW THIS, RIGHT?

Please pass this on to as many women as possible.
PDF will open up for saving & sharing

If you are a woman and use pads, but, especially if you use tampons, read this and pass on to your friends (for the men reading this, please forward it to your friends, significant others, sisters, mothers, daughters, etc.) thanks!

Check the labels of the sanitary pads or tampons that you are going to buy the next time, and see whether you spot any of the familiar signs stated in this email. No wonder so many women in the world suffer from cervical cancer and womb tumors. Have you heard that tampon makers include asbestos in tampons? Why would they do this? Because asbestos makes you bleed more, if you bleed more, you're going to need to use more. Why isn't this against the law since asbestos is so dangerous? Because the powers that be, in all their wisdom (not), did not consider tampons as being ingested, and, therefore, didn't consider them illegal or dangerous. This month's Essence magazine has small article about this and they mention two manufacturers of a cotton tampon alternative. The companies are Organic Essentials @(1-800) 765-6491 and Terra Femme@ (800)755-0212.

A woman getting her Ph.D. at University of Colorado at Boulder sent the following:

"I am writing this because women are not being informed about the dangers of something most of us use tampons. I am taking a class this month and I have been learning a lot about biology and woman, including much about feminine hygiene. Recently we have learned that tampons are actually dangerous (for other reasons than TSS). I'll tell you this- after learning about this in our class, most of the females wound up feeling angry and upset with the tampon industry, and I for one, am going to do something about it. To start, I want to inform everyone I can, and email is the fastest way that I know how. "

HERE IS THE SCOOP:

Tampons contain two things that are potentially harmful: Rayon (for absorbency),and dioxin (a chemical used in bleaching the products). The tampon industry is convinced that we, as women, need bleached white products in order to view the product as pure and clean. The problem here is that the dioxin produced in this bleaching process can lead to very harmful problems for a woman. Dioxin is potentially carcinogenic (cancer-associated) and is toxic to the immune and reproductive systems. It has also been linked to endometriosis and lower sperm counts for men. For both sexes, it breaks down the immune system. Last September, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reported that there really is no set "acceptable" level of exposure to dioxin given that it is cumulative and slow to disintegrate. The real danger comes from repeated contact(Karen Couppert "Pulling the Plug on the Tampon Industry"). I'd say using about 4-5 tampons a day, five days a month, for 38 menstruating years is "repeated contact", wouldn't you? Rayon contributes to the danger of tampons and dioxin because it is a highly absorbent substance. Therefore, when fibers from the tampons are left behind in the vagina (as usually occurs), it creates a breeding ground for the dioxin. It also stays in a lot longer than it would with just cotton tampons. This is also the reason why TSS (toxic shock syndrome) occurs.

WHAT ARE THE ALTERNATIVES?

Using feminine hygiene products that aren't bleached and that are all cotton. Other feminine hygiene products (pads/napkins) contain dioxin as well, but they are not nearly as dangerous since they are not in direct contact with the vagina. The pads/napkins need to stop being bleached, but, obviously, tampons are the most dangerous. So, what can you do if you can't give up using tampons? Use tampons that are made from 100% cotton, and that are UNBLEACHED. Unfort!unately, there are very few companies that make these safe tampons. They are usually only found in health food stores. Countries all over the world (Sweden, Germany, British Columbia, etc.) have demanded a switch to this safer tampon, while the U.S. has decided to keep us in the Dark about it. In 1989, activists in England mounted a campaign against chlorine bleaching. Six weeks and 50,000 letters later, the makers of sanitary products switched to oxygen bleaching (one of the green methods available) (MS magazine, May/June 1995). Even better...EVER HEARD OF THE KEEPER? The KEEPER is made of pure gum rubber - the same material that is used in baby bottle nipples. Put an end to disposable products. www.keeper.com
I personally use Sea Sponges.
Natural Sea Sponge tampons are made from "sea sponges" that naturally grow in theoceans and can be cultivated and harvested like any "land crop." After the sea sponge reaches harvest-size, they are then harvested and are thencleaned, disinfected, trimmed and re-shaped to "vagina-size."

Sea Sponge Tampons are worn inside the vagina just like a tampon duringmenstruation, and they absorb the menstrual flow just like a tampon. Unlike a tampon, a natural sea sponge tampon can be reused over and over again -of course, you will want to disinfect each Sea Sponge Tampon before re-insertinginto the vagina!

Sea Sponge Tampons are similar to regular tampons in that they are comfortable to wear, they work like a tampon, and have the added benefit that they will not dry out your vagina like a typical tampon will toward the end ofyour period.

WHAT TO DO NOW:

Tell people.

Everyone.

Inform them.

We are being manipulated by this industry and the government, let's do something about it!

Please write to the companies: Tampax (Tambrands), Playtex, O.B., Kotex.

Call the 800 numbers listed on the boxes.

Let them know that we demand a safe product - ALL-COTTON UNBLEACHED TAMPONS.

BENEFITS OF APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

For centuries people have been using natural apple cider vinegar as both a food and a medicine for themselves and for their pets.
Since 400BC, Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, and others, have used vinegar and vinegar mixed with honey, as an energizing tonic and a healing elixir.
More recently, the health benefits of apple cider vinegar have been promoted by many well-known authors such as Dr Jarvis, Paul C. Bragg and Patricia Bragg.
D.C. Jarvis, a Vermont country doctor, noted that apple cider vinegar was a respected home remedy used by many Vermonters to successfully treat a number of common ailments and nagging aches and pains.
He was so impressed that he went on to write a book on his observations and experimentations with home remedies, especially apple cider vinegar, and its beneficial effects on both people and farm animals.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

First let me say that apple cider vinegar is a completely natural product, resulting from the fermentation of apple juice to hard apple cider followed by a second fermentation to apple cider vinegar.
This natural product retains all the nutritional goodness of the apples from which it was made plus it is fortified with the extra acids and enzymes produced during the two fermentation steps.
It's the sum of all these ingredients that give apple cider vinegar its amazing health benefits.

Apple cider vinegar benefits include many external uses as well. It can be used to sooth sunburns and insect bites, to make your hair shine, and to treat dandruff just to mention a few. Click on the Hair Care or Home Remedies section for more details on these and many more uses.

Apple cider vinegar fits in well with today's trend towards eating natural healthy whole foods, and away from the overconsumption of highly processed convenience foods, which are depleted of much of their original nutrients.

Beware – Not all apple cider vinegars are created equal!
Many commercial apple cider vinegars have been pasteurized, filtered, refined or distilled in order to make the product look good, and thereby more appealing to the general public.
Unfortunately this extra processing destroys much of the healthy goodness and thus many of the apple cider benefits that were in the product in the first place.

The best type of apple cider vinegar to use is one made from cold pressed, organically grown whole apples, in which no chemicals or preservatives have been added, which contains the "mother of vinegar", and is not pasteurized. The "mother of vinegar" is a natural gelatinous substance formed during the last fermentation step.
This type of wholesome apple cider vinegar can be readily found in most health food stores and can be conveniently purchased online.

Alternatively, you can brew your own nutritious apple cider vinegar at home. It's surprisingly easy to do and the whole family can be involved.
For a step-by-step procedure on the home preparation of apple cider vinegar, click on the Homemade Vinegar section.

Weight Loss
Another major apple cider vinegar benefit is weight loss. Although no one is sure how it works, it has helped many people lose weight.

Animals love apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar benefits for our pets, from cats and dogs to pigeons and parrots to cows and horses, are numerous. It can be used as a daily health tonic, to deter insects such as mosquitoes, fleas and tics, to relieve skin conditions, and even to take away the smell of skunk. For details on these and many more uses, check out the Pet Care section.

Cooking with apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is an amazingly versatile cooking ingredient. It adds a tangy taste to many drinks and deepens the flavors of numerous foods. Its important to note that vinegar is a major ingredient in most condiments. Mayonnaise and tomato ketchup account for more than 10% of the vinegar production in America.

Other uses!
Besides the apple cider vinegar benefits for health, its use for weight loss, pet care, and cooking, it can also double up as a non-toxic household cleaner, deodorizer, and disinfectant.

TO ALL WHO SUFFER FROM THIS TRY NATURAL REMEDIES FIRST

I HAVE NEVER SUFFERED MUCH FROM ANXIETY AND AM THANKFUL FOR THAT. FOR ALL OF YOU THAT DO. THERE IS A NATURAL WAY. PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ARE NOT THE SOLUTION. EDUCATE

Anxiety is something that we all experience sometimes. All of us experience a wide range of emotions, both positive and negative. Negative emotions such as anger, fear, and apprehension are normal human responses to unpleasant or dangerous situations, and are in fact necessary for survival. Sometimes however, these emotions get out of hand and occur without any stimulus, even to the point of disrupting our daily activities and harming our health.

Anxiety Symptoms
Anxiety Disorder Symptoms
Like many psychological problems, an anxiety disorder is a little difficult to detect, particularly as many of the symptoms are normal human responses. The key difference however is that these responses occur without any stimulus. Sometimes the individual is almost constantly in a state of worry, while others may experience sudden, unprovoked “anxiety attacks”.

Some of the symptoms of anxiety disorder include:
- Constant state of apprehension
- Irritability
- Restlessness
- Fatigue and exhaustion
- Inability to concentrate
- Chest pain
- Headaches
- Breathlessness
- Nausea
- Indigestion
- Insomnia
- Inability to calm down or relax

Anxiety Causes
Anxiety Symptoms, Causes, Remedy and Diet
No specific cause of anxiety
Unlike a physical disease or medical condition, there are no specific causes of anxiety. A variety of causes can combine to have a negative effect on a person, ultimately resulting in an anxiety disorder. The body’s chemical processes, one’s life experiences, and many other factors play a role. There can be specific elements of your life and environment that make you anxious and contribute to the problem of anxiety, such as work pressure, academic expectations, or major illness, or there can be a general existential crisis. Constant worry can cause panic attacks.

Anxiety Remedies
Anxiety home remedies and natural cures, Questions and answers

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is a good treatment for anxiety, and you can do it on your own. Lavender oil is particularly effective, but you can also use jasmine or sandalwood.

Vitamins
Vitamin deficiencies - Vitamin B in particular can often cause anxiety. Try taking a daily supplement of a B-complex tablet.

Meditation
Learn some meditation and yoga techniques to calm yourself. If nothing else, closing your eyes and breathing deeply will do. These techniques can be used whenever you start to get an anxiety attack, and also as part of your daily routine.

Exercise
A daily workout will help you calm down. The physical exertion itself helps fight anxiety, plus it prompts your body to produce certain chemicals that calm you and make you feel good.

Bathing
When you feel an anxiety attack coming on, you can have a cold shower or soak in a warm bath, whichever works for you.

Drink water or tea
When you start to feel stressed out, drink a whole glass of water, or else sit back and sip a cup of tea.

Anxiety Diet
Anxiety : Home Remedies suggested by users
General Anxiety Relief Guidelines
There is no specific diet for anxiety, but certain foods and food habits can certainly make a difference. You can experiment on your own, but ensure that you differentiate between unhealthy “comfort food” and healthy food that is actually making a difference to your condition. You might be quite happy eating a greasy burger, but a fruit snack instead might make you feel better in the long run.

Some general guidelines for anxiety relief include:
- Drink adequate amounts of water daily.
- Make sure that you get all the necessary vitamins and minerals. If necessary, ask your doctor about supplements.
- Cut down on alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine.
- Eat more complex carbohydrates.

Other Suggestions for Anxiety
Anxiety Suggestions
For a severe anxiety disorder, there is no option other than getting professional help. There are two main approaches to anxiety disorder treatment:

Counseling
This method of treatment basically involves taking the help of a psychiatrist or a professional counselor to identify the behavioral or psychological causes of the anxiety disorder. The psychiatrist or counselor will then help you change these patterns of behavior and thinking, and help you react to situations in a more positive way.

Medications
There are a variety of drugs that are used to treat anxiety disorders, including sedatives and antidepressants. These drugs work, but they do have their side effects, including the possibility of dependency. They are therefore to be used only under professional guidance, and only if other measures are found to be ineffective

But wait there’s more. A recent study from the Mayo Clinic found soaking in a hot bath provides similar benefits to exercising without all the extra strain on the heart. Soaking in a hot bath increases your heart rate while it lowers your blood pressure. How does this work? When you first get into a hot bath it speeds up your heart to send blood to the surface and disperse extra body heat into the air. After a couple of minutes the warm blood causes your blood vessels to dilate, which decreases the resistance to blood flow and lowers your blood pressure.

A few other benefits of a hot bath include:

—> Overcoming Insomnia

—> It stimulates sweating and the release of toxins

—> With the addition of Epsom salts it helps arthritis and rheumatism

—> With sea salt it promotes healing and prevents infection

—> Promotes Stress Relief and Relaxation

When you’re feeling really stressed give a hot bath a go. It will release your built up tension. While soaking you can read a book, meditate to a stress relief CD, listen to music, or simply just sit and relax.

PLEASE READ THIS! CARINOGEN IN BODY CARE PRODUCTS

Skin Cancer Prevalence

According to the American Melanoma Foundation, one person dies every hour of every day from skin cancer. Skin cancer is the most common human cancer. One million people are diagnosed with new skin cancer every year. One in five Americans will develop skin cancer at some point in their lives. Skin cancer will kill more than 10,850 Americans this year. Skin cancer rates have more than tripled in the last 30 years even with the explosion in the use of sunscreen and sunblock products and a high percentage of the population reducing sun exposure.

Skin Cancer Animal Model
The National Cancer Institute explains that hairless mice are used for skin cancer studies. Human skin tissue has been grafted to these mice to create an optimal creature for evaluating causes of skin cancer as well as skin cancer treatments as applicable to humans. Many treatments developed on these mice are currently effective treatments for humans. In addition, these mice and their reaction to excessive exposure to UV light is the main reason that scientists have concluded that excessive exposure to sunlight can cause skin cancer.

Causes and Risk Factors
The most popular cause of skin cancer is UV light, or excessive exposure to sunlight. However, there are other potential causes. In this article hosted on WebMD, 4 Commonly Used Moisturizing Creams Promote Tumors in UV-Exposed Mice, a study by Allan H. Conney, PhD, director of the Susan Lehman Cullman Laboratory for Cancer Research and professor in the school of pharmacy at Rutgers University in Piscataway, N.J., the use of common moisturizers, including Eucerin, Vanicream, Dermabase and Dermovan caused a statistically significant increase in skin cancer in hairless mice. The Food and Drug Administration classifies moisturuizers as 'cosmetics'. The manufacturers are not required to undergo the same safety testing as drugs.

Please read this article, Carcinogen in Body Care Products: Mineral Oil, and discover more reasons to avoid mineral oil in body care products. Dermal absorption and inhalation of mineral oil increases the risks of the following conditions:

Pancreatic cancer
Gallbladder cancer
Lung cancer
Melanoma (skin cancer)
Esophagal cancer
Stomach cancer
Kidney cancer

as well as:
non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Leukemia

in addition to damage to the central nervous system

After reading all of the available studies regarding mineral oil and cancers, leukemia, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and damage to the central nervous system, you may want to change moisturizers to something a little less risky.

Ooops!
During a test of caffeine for its effects as a skin cancer cure, Dr. Conney subjected hairless mice to UV light twice a week for 20 weeks. This exposure was designed to make them high risk of developing skin tumors over the next several months.

For the next 17 weeks, 100 mg of moisturizer applied to the mice once a day, 5 days a week. Researchers were trying to find a moisturizer that would work as a good carrier for caffeine, but they had to make sure that the moisturizer would not throw off the study by affecting the mice in any way.

The results were shocking. Application of 4 common daily moisturizers reulted in more skin tumors and faster tumor growth:

Eucerin

Water
Petrolatum
Mineral Oil
Ceresin
Lanolin Alcohol
Methyl chloro-
isothiazolinone
Methyl-
isothiazolinone

Eucerin increased the total number of tumors by 24%

Beiersdorf Inc. Statement: "We have just learned about this study and are currently reviewing it to understand the findings," Beiersdorf said. "Eucerin Original Creme has been on the market for more than 100 years and is a highly respected, dermatologist-recommended brand."

Maybe they should recommend something else?

Dermabase

Purified Water
Petrolatum
Mineral Oil
Cetostearyl Alcohol

Dermabase increased the total number of tumors by 69%

Paddock Laboratories Inc. statement: Declined to comment.

Vanicream

Purified Water
White Petrolatum
Cetearyl Alcohol
Ceteareth-20
Sorbitol Solution
Propylene Glycol
Simethicone
Glyceryl Monostearate
Polyethylene Glycol Monostearate
Sorbic Acid
BHT

Vanicream increased the total number of tumors by 58%

Pharmaceutical Specialties Inc. Statement: "Treatment with Vanicream Skin Cream clearly did not increase the proportion of animals that developed tumors," Thompson notes."
Saying it sin't so, doesn't make it real, except in your own mind.

Johnson and Johnson
Special
Study
Cream

purified water
propylene glycol
stearyl alcohol
cetyl alcohol
polysorbate 20
isopropyl myristate
C12-15 alkyl benzoate
benzoic acid
glycerin
sodium hydroxide
Did not increase the total number of tumors as compared to controls with no cream applied.

I feel like I'm playing that Sesame Street game, One of These Things is Not Like the Others...
The mineral oil/petrolatum are NOT in the cream developed for the study. The special cream did NOT increase tumor development as compared to controls with no cream applied. Imagine that.

So, HOLD ON A SECOND, Johnson and Johnson KNOWS that skin cancer prevalence, tumor growth rate and number of skin tumors is increased with exposure to mineral oil. Uh, gee - then why do they continue to include mineral oil in their baby care products? Job security? Let's see, if they sell X number of units of mineral oil baby care products they will create X number of skin cancer cases and sell X number of diagnostic equipment and X number of cancer drugs. Hm. Makes sense. Create a market through human suffering. Click here if you don't believe me.

Join me and send this message to Johnson and Johnson: According to research on my behalf through lionesshealing.blogspot.com , I noticed that Johnson and Johnson developed a carrier for a skin cancer test for Dr. Conney that did not contain mineral oil since mineral oil increased tumor development and growth rate. Why do you continue to include mineral oil in baby care products? Why do you continue to sell mineral oil labeled as 'Baby Oil' when your own studies have shown that mineral oil increases the development and growth rate of malignant skin tumors?

NATURAL REMEDIES FOR ALLERGY SEASON

With spring starting, allergy sufferers are dreading the onset of allergy season. Perhaps you are like so many patients for whom the typical allergy medications don’t work that well.

For those of you who think you may have run out of options, there are powerful natural alternatives that can help prepare your body in advance to prevent allergy symptoms and treat them if you already are suffering.

Seven natural remedies for seasonal allergies:

1. Begin with a non-allergenic diet: Although allergens are external, it is actually our body’s response to them that is the cause of the allergy -- it is an allergic reaction. If your body is already inundated with food allergy triggers, your immune system will be hyper-wired to react to external allergens. Eliminate wheat, dairy, and excess sugar, the most common allergens.

2. Try a spoonful of honey: Choose local honey produced by bees that live in your area. The theory is that consuming honey may be much like immunotherapy, in the same way that allergists introduce tiny doses of an allergen to reduce sensitivity. As bees collect nectar from flowers, they inadvertently pick up pollen grains, which get into the honey, creating homeopathic immunotherapy.

Using honey as a preventive works best with a daily dose several weeks or months before allergy season. For example, New York City recently approved beekeeping, and one brand, called Hi-Rise Hive, is sold at local health food stores.

3. Take vitamin C and quercetin: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and also a mast cell “stabilizer.” Mast cells are tiny cells that line the mucous membranes, which when exposed to an allergen, release histamine.

Histamine in the bloodstream is the cause of symptoms such as, eye irritation, sneezing, and a runny nose. Vitamin C makes mast cells less reactive, thus reducing allergy symptom, and quercetin is a powerful flavonoid that enhances the effects of vitamin C.

Take 1500mg of vitamin C with 500mg quercetin at the first signs of allergies and repeat every four to six hours as needed. This crafty combination can put a sneezing attack to rest within 20 to 30 minutes. Another great product, Natural D-Hist also contains singing nettle leaf, bromelein (an enzyme), and N-acetyl cysteine (thins mucous).

4. Drink stinging nettle leaf tea: If you have come in contact with this perennial, you probably remember the sting. But it's safe and healthy in drink form. Steep the tea for 10 to 15 minutes to obtain the full benefits of the medicinal oils.

5. Sooth your nose with a neti pot: Seasonal allergies are usually due to pollen from flowering plants, grasses, and trees that become stuck in the nasal passages. Pollen triggers the inflammatory process that we call allergies. One way to reduce symptoms is to wash the allergens out with salt-water.

Neti pots have been used since ancient India to clear nasal passages. Using a neti pot or a saline nasal rinse, such as Sinucleanse, is a great way to help reduce allergy symptoms.

6. Inhale steam with essential oils: Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and then turn off the heat. Place 4 drops eucalyptus oil, 1 to 2 drops tea tree oil, and 3 drops rosemary essential oil. Drape a large towel over your head and inhale deeply for 5 to 10 minutes.

7. Give acupuncture a shot: Acupuncture can be effective, and it is thought that acupuncture may temper an overactive immune system. Applied locally, it can help reduce nasal and sinus inflammation that is the cause of much of the discomfort from allergies.

FOR MY MAMA'S TO BE! KEEP YOUR PLACENTA

There are so Many benefits to keeping your placenta.

Its is Healing and Spiritually Powerful!

PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION

Many people of the world have known the secret power of the placenta as a medicinal supplement. Among the Chinese and Vietnamese, it is a customary practice to prepare the placenta for consumption by the mother. The placenta is thought to be rich in nutrients that the mother needs to recover more readily from childbirth. In Italy, women have been known to eat parts of the placenta to help with lactation. Hungarian women bite the placenta to expedite the completion of labor. And knowledgeable midwives in this country have their birth mothers take bites of raw placenta to help stop hemorrhaging, due to its beneficial oxytocin content.

There are a variety of potential benefits to placentophagy. For one, the placenta contains vitamins and minerals that may help fight depression symptoms, such as vitamin B6. For another, the placenta is considered rich in iron and protein, which would be useful to women recovering from childbirth, and a particular benefit to vegetarian women.

PLACENTA BURIAL

This is how I chose to honor my placenta. I had a small ritual with my close woman friends and Marley on his first birthday. The Placenta was kept in my freezer till I was ready. I planted it in a sago palm which is one of the most prehistoric plants still around.

Placenta burial is common among even more cultures. In a number of places, such as Kenya, Malaysia, and Nigeria, the placenta is considered the baby’s twin, or thought to have its own spirit, and is buried with the appropriate rites. In Mexico, Nepal, and New Zealand, the placenta is honored as the companion or friend of the baby, and is placed in the earth reverently, but is not thought to have a spirit of its own. Specific burial rites vary by culture, and in some, the placenta will be placed high up, such as in a tree, instead of being buried in the ground.
In modern Western culture, placenta burial is usually highly personal. It may be based of off the rituals of other cultures, or on the perception of those rituals, but will probably be altered depending on the individual’s preference. It can be planted at the base of a tree or bush, for instance. Some mothers choose to get a special plant for each placenta they bury. Generally, if any time needs to elapse between the birth and the burial of the placenta, it is frozen until the time comes. Since the placenta is very nourishing, it will help the plant above it grow as it decomposes, returning to the earth. It may also be placed in its own container and buried with a marker.

PLACENTA ART

Great to do before consumption or burial.

Some people choose not to keep the placenta itself, or to engage in other rituals in addition to the burial or consumption of it. Making prints of the placenta, using either the blood that covers it or ink and paint, are not uncommon. Art done with a related substance – the amniotic membrane – has also been made. These are ways to have a keepsake of the pregnancy that reminds us of our connection with the earth. The placenta can be disposed of, buried, or consumed (provided no paint or ink was used) afterward, as the mother chooses.

Having a cup of rooibus tea ...so many benefits in one cup!!!

Rooibos or Redbush, as it is more commonly known, is an herbal tea that is grown only in the South African highlands.
It comes from the plant Aspalathus linearis, rather than the Camellia plants that produce traditional teas, such as Black, Green or Oolong.

The brew is a distinctive red color and offers a very sweet and slightly nutty flavor. It contains a variety of antioxidant substances, some of which are entirely exclusive to the Redbush plant.

As well as being decaffeinated with low tannin content, the tea contains Vitamin C and many minerals and can almost be considered a nutritional supplement.

The minerals contained in a cup of Redbush tea are:

Zinc
Manganese
Alpha-hydroxy (great for the skin)
Magnesium
Copper
Iron
Potassium
Calcium
Fluoride
Various studies have shown the many health problems that can be helped by drinking this tea on a regular basis:

Can be used to treat hay fever, asthma and eczema
Placed directly on the skin, it can slow the aging process
Boosts the immune system
Eases irritability, headaches, nervous tension and insomnia
Acts as an anti-spasmodic agent, to relieve stomach cramps and colic in infants
Contains no oxalic acid, so people who are prone to kidney stones can safely consume it
Mothers in South Africa have long been aware of the benefits of the herbal brew and it is traditional to give this tea to children. It is thought that a small amount of Redbush tea added to milk could soothe babies and help ease symptoms of colic.

COCONUT OIL IS ALL I USE!!!! you should too

I have used many beauty products over the years. All organic- paraben free is expensive. All I use now is coconut for body, skin and hair!!!!!!!!!!!! its amazing. I always massage with it!!! I love it and recommend it to everyone!!!!

Coconut oil skin applications are risk-free and packed with short- and long-term blessings.

Which do you prefer? Products with hidden and harmful chemicals, or the one nature already provided?

Best Fat for Your Skin

Long before it was discovered to have the power to kill the AIDS virus, coconut oil was already busy giving mankind beautiful skin and hair. That's right! Coconut oil for the hair is just as impressive.

Coconut oil skin care is chemical-free and loaded with rejuvenating medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) or medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA). It is nature's most abundant source of antimicrobial MCFAs. Think of MCFAs as bodyguards of your skin.

Sebaceous glands secrete bodily oil called sebum which keeps your skin from drying and cracking. Guess what. Sebum also contains MCFAs. No wonder coconut massage oils are gaining unprecedented popularity among massage therapists.

Coconut Oil Power Unleashed

Your skin is home-sweet-home to countless microorganisms, mostly harmless and some even helpful. Lipophilic bacteria is one of the good guys because they break down MCTs into MCFAs - independent fatty acids called free fatty acids.

As triglycerides (MCT), fatty acids can do nothing. But as individuals (MCFA), they have a mean antimicrobial punch. Let's just say they prefer going solo. Selfish little fatty acids. But that's great for your skin, right!

Topical is Best

Just apply a generous but not dripping amount of coconut oil on your face, neck, arms, chest, buttocks, thighs, legs and feet. Did I miss something? Its relatively small molecules will enter your pores in no time to begin working its magic - first externally, then internally.

Coconut oil acne benefits? I said goodbye to embarrassing pimple eruptions shortly after making coconut oil in charge of my skin.

For quick and effective healing of cuts, wounds, burns and the like, I vigorously recommend the coconut oil bandage.

Natural Soap Ingredient

Simply use coconut oil soap for a more natural occurrence. Coconut oil skin blessings could not have been more within your effortless reach.

Actually, coconut oil for soap making is such a natural. A good number of commercial soaps on the market today contain coconut oil as their principal component.

The Original Suntan Lotion

Do you love going out in the sun but hate getting painful sunburns? Try applying some of this humble oil and see for yourself.

The Polynesians are known for having beautiful unblemished skin even though they're always under the damaging rays of the sun. That's because they use coconut oil on their bodies as a lotion, which is actually one of its oldest uses.

But the real value of coconut oil is its enduring care. This is the true test. Coconut oil beautifies by perpetually helping in the repair and protection of your skin from within.

Works Inside AND Out

It works just as powerfully inside your body, vaporizing fungal infections without the least bit of harm. Coconut oil candida benefits for one is pretty impressive.

Coconut oil strengthens your skin's connective tissues. Strong connective fibers translates to skin that is soft, smooth and supple.

By the way, in case you're wondering if your skin is functionally younger or older than your biological or true age, try this quick and easy skin elasticity test. Go ahead. You could be in for a surprise.

First Your Skin, Then Your Entire Body

Using coconut oil for your skin is far more than skin deep. Once the skin is completely penetrated, MCFA-rich coconut oil will eventually reach your bloodstream and begin another phase of even more health-boosting activities.
